MyRRMed : TermsOfUse

TERMS OF USE: WEBSITE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Your usage of this website and any of its contents are subject to the terms and conditions below. Your usage of this website is your consent to these terms.

MyRRMed is only to be used by Medicare beneficiaries. Providers are not permitted to use this tool. Palmetto GBA's eServices is our free online provider portal that can be accessed at www.PalmettoGBA.com/eServices.

  1. This website and its contents belong either to Palmetto GBA, LLC ("Palmetto GBA") or to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). They do not belong to you, even though you are allowed to access them.

  2. For security and other business reasons, Palmetto GBA monitors use of the website and its contents. Your use of this website or its contents is consent to this monitoring. You do not have an expectation of privacy while using this website or its contents.

  3. Palmetto GBA may use any information you provide for its business and other purposes. Your making this information available is consent to this use.

  4. You understand that neither the internet nor this site is perfect. Also, Palmetto GBA may have to take down the site or any of its contents for repair or revision. As a result your use of the site or its contents may be interrupted. Palmetto GBA is not responsible for this interruption.

  5. Your use of this site and its contents are at your own risk. PALMETTO GBA IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR CLAIMS OF ANY KIND YOU MAY SUFFER FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR ITS CONTENTS.

  6. Keeping a website or its content 100% accurate and complete at all times is not possible, even under the best of circumstances. As a result, PALMETTO GBA IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ERRORS IN THE DATA OR FOR INCOMPLETE DATA ON THE SITE. PALMETTO GBA PROVIDES THE SITE AND ITS CONTENTS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, INFRINGEMENT, OR WORKMANLIKE MANNER.

  7. This website and its contents are made available for your household use. They are not to be used for commercial purposes. Palmetto GBA has the right to terminate any user's access at any time, with or without notice or reason.

  8. Any user identification or other access is for your use only and may not be shared with others, even if they are using it on your behalf. Each user must have a unique user identification and password. Generic contact (user) names are not permitted. This means that we expect each user to have a legitimate first and last name associated with each user ID. Examples of generic user names are: Front Desk, Account Coordinator, Billing Department, User A or the name of a provider office. Palmetto GBA may delete, without notice, any user names that it finds are generic.

  9. All user accounts must have passwords because the password is a means to authenticate the identity of the person using an account as the authorized user and to prevent misuse by unauthorized users. Passwords are case sensitive and:
    1. Must be at least 8 characters long, but not more than 20.
    2. Must contain an uppercase letter.
    3. Must contain a lowercase letter.
    4. Must have at least one of the following special characters: @, #, or $.
    5. Must contain numbers (0-9) and letters (A-Z, a-z).
    6. Must start with a letter.
    7. No leading portion of first or last names may occur.
    8. Must contain at least six changed characters from the previous password.
    9. Must be changed every 60 days.
    10. Cannot contain spaces.
    11. Must be different from the previous 12 passwords.

  10. Security measures have been updated. When you register for an account on this portal, you will receive an 'Access Code'. The code will be mailed to you in a 'Welcome' letter to your address on record. You will be prompted to enter the Access Code the first time you log into MyRRMed in order to gain access to your account. This prevents unauthorized individuals from gaining access to your private information.

  11. Palmetto GBA's MyRRMed requires all users to complete a confirmation process every 90 days to be compliant with Medicare.

  12. The Confirmation Process will:

    • Recertify that you are the registered user and still need access to view your information.
    • Verify that your profile information is correct.

If you do not complete the confirmation process every 90 days, your access to MyRRMed will be deactivated.

Palmetto GBA reserves the right to request that users confirm access at any time. Palmetto GBA has the right to deactivate and remove any user's access if suspicious or improper activity is determined.

  13. For Security purposes, Medicare requires that all users of electronic portals sign into their account at least once in a 30-day period. Therefore, Palmetto GBA's MyRRMed users must also sign into their account at least once every 30 days. If your account has been deactivated, you will need to re-register.

  14. Do not leave the system accessible on your computer when you are away from your computer. Remember to log off and close your browser each and every time you exit the system.

  15. You may not use any application, program, or macro (among other examples) that interface with the site or its contents. The website and its contents are a stand-alone portal and shall be used "as is" by the user.

  16. Palmetto GBA may use "cookies" or similar technologies in order to track usage of the website and its contents and for other business purposes.

  17. By using the website or its contents, you agree not to use Palmetto GBA or CMS data to determine the identity of individual persons.

  18. By using the website or its contents you represent to Palmetto GBA that you have the proper authority to use the website or its contents. In addition, you agree that you will not access, use or disclose or permit or enable others to access, use or disclose any information obtained from this website in any manner that may be unauthorized, unlawful, or beyond the specific purpose for which the information is made available.

  19. By using the Site or its contents, you agree that any dispute or claim related in any way with (a) any terms of use (including, but not limited to these Terms and Conditions and any applicable Privacy Policy), or (b) your use of the website or its contents shall be brought solely in a federal or state court in Richland County, South Carolina. You consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such courts and waive any defenses to such jurisdiction, venue or convenience of forum. These terms of use and legal issues related to this website or its contents are governed exclusively by the laws of the state of South Carolina and of the United States (without regard to its rules regarding conflict of laws).
    1. You agree that any claim related in any way to this website or its contents must commence within one (1) year after the claim accrues. Otherwise, the claim is permanently barred.
    2. If any provision of the terms of use is determined to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that invalidity will not affect the enforceability of any other provision in the terms of use and the remaining terms in the terms of use shall continue in full force and effect.
    3. By using the website or its contents, you agree that any claim, suit or dispute resolution proceeding will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class or representative action.

  20. Nothing on this website or in its contents is medical advice. No doctor-patient relationship is established between Palmetto GBA and you. The information on the website is for general informational purposes only.

  21. Nothing on this website or in its contents is financial or legal advice. No attorney-client or accountant-client relationship is established between Palmetto GBA and you. The information on the website is for general informational purposes only.

  22. Palmetto GBA reserves the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time without notice or reason. You agree that it is your responsibility to keep up with any such changes that are made. In addition, by using the website or its contents, you agree to release Palmetto GBA from any and all claims, liabilities, or damages related to that use. You further agree to indemnify and hold Palmetto GBA harmless, including the payment of attorney's fees, for any breach of this agreement, negligence, violation of law, or willful conduct on your part in connection with the use of this website or its contents.

  23. The terms of use are the entire agreement between you and Palmetto GBA with regard to use of the website or its contents. No waiver by any party of any breach or default is a waiver of any preceding or subsequent breach or default.
